Ombudsman Continuing Education

The Oregon foster care Ombudsman’s office serves as an independent resource to investigate complaints, concerns, or violations of rights for children in the custody of ODHS Foster Care. Established through legislation developed and passed by current and former foster youth, the office receives, investigates, and helps resolve concerns from a wide range of people, including foster youth, parents, relatives, CASAs, attorneys, social workers, and other interested parties. The Ombudsman listens to concerns, documents complaints, gathers all relevant information, remains neutral and impartial, and provides guidance on how to help.

This training go into detail about the Ombudsman office, what their role is, and how CASA can use these services.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 17th on ARC. This will be a virtual training via Zoom. We will send the Zoom link out the Wednesday before the training to those who have RSVP.
